The best thing about this Elasmosaurus is that she is NOT hollow, so she can go in the tub without getting all moldy inside. My daughter is so excited to finally have an authentic ’swimmer’ dinosaur. A bit pricey, but well worth the $$ for HOURS of imaginative play.
The craftsmanship is excellent. The detail is impressive. I bought this toy for my five-year old niece, a dinosaur enthusiast, and she loves it. It wears well as it has been in the tub many times. I wish there were more marine reptiles/prehistoric marine predators, like mosasaurus or an ichthyosaur. Buy it with another marine monster, like kronosaurus or deinosuchus, to add to the fun.
Aquatic dinosaurs are hard to find (will someone please make the fearsome liopluredon?), so elasmosaurus fills a definite toy need. This dinosaur is usually tossed in the tub and pool by my son, who enjoys playing with it.
